That's all.

You? Upset me? You wish. Your words have no effect on me whatsoever. You think yourself far too important.

You wanted the pre-nup that didn't involve splitting all our possessions in half (which would have got messy, with the kids), so we decided on the one that simple states we both receive what we had coming into the agreement. You can check the document of you like. It's all above board.

Sure, Draco. Sure. I've had to apologise to you far too many times to buy that you're unaffected by me. That's just silly to even say.

... well... what about the things aquired after we got married....? Like our joint bank account?
3rd-Jan-2010 02:38 pm (UTC)
Exactly. It's incredibly silly.

Being a kind, generous soul, I'll let you keep a bit of it. Never let it be said that I never do anything for you.

Yes, exactly. You're very sensitive.

What do you mean you'll let me keep half of it? What does the contract say about it? Traditionally, I think assets aquired after the marriage are equally divided between the two parties.

So... does this pre-nup hold good even with our current marriage? I mean... I didn't sign anything before running off to elope the last time.... so does it really still apply? Wouldn't it be kind of void since it's a completely seperate marriage? And then wouldn't the default agreement of each person getting half apply in the absence of a pre-nup?

I mean not that I'm going to divorce you or anything, just for curiosity's sake.

I think you'll find that I said a bit, not half. I'm generous but I'm not a no good, worthless Gryffindor.

Equally? Not our pre-nup, dearest.
3rd-Jan-2010 03:59 pm (UTC)
Oh... but that doesn't sound right at all!

But I didn't sign a pre-nup the last time!! At Gretna Green! I only signed one that first time, at St Paul's! It still applies????
3rd-Jan-2010 04:38 pm (UTC)
No, that marriage was void after the divorce, so it doesn't hold. And what do you think you signed at Gretna Green? Not just the wedding certificate.
3rd-Jan-2010 04:47 pm (UTC)
What??? But that doesn't count, you can't just slip people things to sign without telling them!

Well, I guess it doesn't matter anyway since I'm not divorcing you. Well, not now, certainly. >:(

Now, Blaise, you were at perfect liberty to read the fine print. It's not my affair that you didn't.

Whatever you say.
3rd-Jan-2010 04:56 pm (UTC)
Well I assumed it was just a marriage license since you said, "Here, sign this marriage license."

What if you just give me half of everything? Just for old times sake?
